Principles

Insertion electromagnetic flowmeter is a new type of fluid flow meter developed on the basis of pipeline electromagnetic flowmeter. It is specially used to measure the flow rate of conductive liquids in large pipelines. This flowmeter is directly installed in the pipeline and measures the liquid flow rate by detecting the electromagnetic field generated by the flow. It consists of a probe inserted into the pipeline and a transmitter installed outside the pipeline.


Insertion electromagnetic flowmeters are usually used in large pipelines where flange electromagnetic flowmeters cannot be installed. They are usually used in industries such as water treatment, wastewater treatment and chemical processing. One of the advantages of insertion electromagnetic flowmeters is that they can be installed without shutting down the process, saving time and money. Electromagnetic flowmeters can be divided into integral type electromagnetic flowmeters, remote type electromagnetic flowmeters, clamping electromagnetic flowmeters and insertion electromagnetic flowmeters according to different needs and installation methods.
