Chemical electromagnetic flowmeter scope of application and main features

Electromagnetic flowmeter is widely used in the measurement of conductive liquids, can be measured like other instruments are not easy to measure some of the acid, alkali, salt and other easy to crystallize corrosive solutions, but also can measure slurry and other abrasive liquid-solid media on the flowmeter. Of course, you can also measure relatively simple pure water, sewage and other liquids.

  • Commonly used flange electromagnetic flowmeter measuring pipe is a straight pipe without flow detection parts, thus basically does not cause pressure loss, energy saving effect is relatively good. Especially in the process pipeline pressure is not high or process pressure loss on the instrument is more favorable when used.

  • Sensor structure is reliable. Because there is no resistance to flow detection parts, and will not be blocked. Petrochemical industry in the liquid often contains catalysts, crystals and other solid particles, so electromagnetic flowmeter in the measurement of liquid-solid two-phase fluids is also favorable.

  • Large measuring range. Electromagnetic flowmeter range than the conventional greater than 10:1, up to 100:1, the advantage is obvious, and can be arbitrarily changed range. Flow rate range is generally 1 ~ 6 m / s, can also be extended to 0.5 ~ 10.0 m / s.

  • Electromagnetic flowmeter measured volume flow rate and the fluid's own characteristics have nothing to do, that is to say, the fluid temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, etc. does not affect its measurement results.

Material

Corrosion Resistance

316L, 304L stainless steel

strong corrosion resistance and good wear resistance. Can be widely used in petrochemical and other industries. However, it is not recommended to be used in the environment containing sulfuric acid or hydrochloric acid.

Hastelloy B

It has good corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and alkaline liquid common in petrochemical industry under various concentrations, temperatures and other harsh conditions.

Hastelloy C

contains chromium, also in a variety of concentrations, temperatures and other harsh conditions can be resistant to a variety of acids, alkalis, salt corrosion, and also resistant to salts such as Fe3 +, Cu2 + corrosion. Good resistance to seawater, but for hydrochloric acid is not as corrosion-resistant as Hastelloy B.


Titanium

It can resist the corrosion of various oxidizing mediums such as nitric acid, chlorinated salts, chlorides and chlorine-containing mediums, and is not resistant to the corrosion of pure reducing acids (such as sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid). However, if the acid contains oxidizing agents (Fe3+, Cu2+), the corrosion resistance is greatly reduced.

Tantalum

has excellent corrosion resistance. In some cases it can even exceed the corrosion resistance of such precious metals as platinum. It is suitable for most acidic media, but it should be noted that it is not resistant to corrosion in alkali.

Platinum

strong corrosion resistance to every acid, alkali and salt, but not resistant to aqua regia corrosion. The material is more expensive and may be chosen for extreme working conditions.

Tungsten Carbide

Excellent resistance to wear. Electrode of choice for oil and gas fracturing applications.

Polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE

1. It is a kind of plastic in nature, with extremely stable chemical properties, and can withstand Various boiling acids and even aqua regia, but also resistant to concentrated alkali and various organic solvents, almost insoluble in all solvents. Almost insoluble in all solvents.

2. Poor abrasion resistance and adhesive properties.

1. -40 ~ +180 ℃.

2. Almost all acids, alkalis, salts and other highly corrosive media.

3. Hygienic media.

Neoprene rubber

1. Good elasticity, strong tearing force, good abrasion resistance, impact resistance.

2. Resistant to corrosion of low concentration of acid, alkali and salt media.

1. <80 ℃.

2. General water, sewage, mud, slurry.

Polyurethane rubber

1. Excellent abrasion resistance.

2. Poor acid and alkali resistance.

3. Poor temperature resistance.

1. <40 ℃.

2. Neutral abrasive mineral slurry, coal slurry, mud slurry.

Hard rubber

1. Resistant to low concentration of acid, alkali and salt media at room temperature.

2. Avoid strong oxidizing agent.

3. The strength of the lining is good.

1. 25 ~ + 70 ℃.

2. General acid, alkali, salt solution.

Polytetrafluoroethylene PFA

1. Excellent corrosion resistance, crack resistance.

2. Can maintain strong tensile strength at higher temperatures.

3. Good abrasion resistance.

1. Same as PTFE.

2. Wear resistance is better than PTFE.
