Recently, ARTang electromagnetic flow meters were successfully applied at Hangzhou Xiaoshan Hongken Meat Processing Co., Ltd., enabling accurate monitoring of wastewater discharge flow during the meat processing operation.
According to Engineer Xu, the application site involved a typical PVC pipeline flow measurement. During the initial communication, the customer reported that normal measurement could not be achieved, with significant deviation from actual flow rates and severe data fluctuations. After an on-site inspection, the issue was identified as an installation-related problem. Following installation adjustments and proper grounding treatment, the flow readings have returned to normal and the system is now operating reliably in production.

PVC pipeline flow measurement is a very common field application. During the selection process, special attention should be paid to the following points:
1. Clearly distinguish and correctly convert between the PVC pipe DE (outer diameter) and the electromagnetic flow meter DN (nominal diameter) to ensure proper sizing.
2. Electromagnetic flow meters should be installed in accordance with the 10D upstream and 5D downstream straight pipe requirements, positioned after the pump and before the valve, with sufficient straight pipe lengths reserved.
3. Proper grounding must be implemented during installation on PVC pipelines to ensure stable flow measurement and accurate signal transmission.
