APT16 pH/ORP Transmitter with RS485 and Pulse output
The ARTang APT16 is an advanced panel-mount pH/ORP controller designed for industrial monitoring and automation systems.
It provides a 4–20 mA analog output, RS485 communication, one programmable relay and an optically isolated open-collector pulse output. Automatic or manual pH temperature compensation supports applications with changing process temperatures.

Product Description
The APT16 pH/ORP transmitter and controller is designed for water-treatment systems, chemical-dosing equipment, analytical panels and OEM machinery that require multiple methods of measurement transmission and process integration.
Measurement data can be transmitted through the 4–20 mA output or RS485 interface. A programmable relay can provide an alarm or control signal, while the optically isolated open-collector pulse output supports connection to compatible pulse-input equipment.
With a compact 96 × 96 × 46 mm housing and 92 × 92 mm panel cutout, the APT16 is suitable for both new control panels and equipment-upgrade projects.

The APT16 should be treated as a single-channel controller configured for either pH or ORP according to the connected electrode.
Yes. RS485 communication is specified with transmission rates of:
- 4800 baud
- 9600 baud
- 19200 baud
The communication protocol and register map must be confirmed before system integration.
It provides an optically isolated open-collector pulse output with a maximum rate of 400 pulses per minute.
The output voltage, current, pulse scaling and available programmable functions must be confirmed before connection.
It may be connected to a compatible pulse-input dosing pump or controller if:
- The electrical input is compatible with an open-collector signal
- The pulse frequency is within the supported range
- The required pulse function and scaling are available
- The output voltage and current remain within specification
Confirm these requirements before using the pulse output for dosing control.
The controller and electrode should be specified separately unless the quotation states that they are supplied as a complete set.
Electrode selection depends on the liquid, temperature, pressure, contamination, mounting and temperature-compensation requirements.
The specified three-point calibration buffers are:
- pH 4.00
- pH 6.86
- pH 9.18
The APT16 requires a 92 × 92 mm panel opening.
Its external dimensions are 96 × 96 × 46 mm. Reserve adequate rear space for analog, relay, pulse and RS485 wiring.
