APS11 is a general industrial glass pH electrode, while APS21 offers a plastic-body design with dual 3/4 NPT connections for flexible immersion or inline installation.
Pure Water & Boiler Water
For boiler water, power-plant water systems and low-conductivity pure water where conventional electrodes may show unstable response.
APS12 supports conductivity down to 1 μS/cm, while APS17 is designed for lower-conductivity water down to 0.1 μS/cm.
Recommended: APS12 / APS17
High-Temperature Process
For high-temperature chemical, food and beverage, biopharmaceutical and other process applications.
APS15 is designed for temperatures up to 130°C and uses a high-temperature glass membrane and high-temperature reference system.
Recommended: APS15
High-Salt & Contaminated Media
For process liquids containing high salt, heavy metals, high organic content or ammonium that may contaminate the reference system.
APS16 uses an ion-trap design to help reduce reference-system contamination and extend electrode service life in difficult media.
Recommended: APS16
FGD & Slurry
For flue-gas desulfurization, exhaust-gas treatment and slurry applications containing suspended solids, sulfur ions or heavy metals.
APS18 uses a dual ceramic junction and application-specific gel reference system for demanding FGD conditions.
Recommended: APS18
Chemical Process Measurement
For chemical processing, industrial wastewater, metal treatment and other demanding process liquids.
Choose the electrode according to chemical compatibility, temperature, contamination level and installation conditions.
How to Select the Right pH Sensor and Transmitter
Select a pH sensor based on the process medium, temperature, conductivity, contamination and installation requirements.
Process Medium
Confirm whether the liquid is water, wastewater, pure water, chemical solution, slurry or another process medium.
Temperature and Conductivity
High temperatures or low-conductivity water may require a dedicated pH electrode design.
Contamination and Chemical Compatibility
Check for solids, high salt, heavy metals or aggressive chemicals that may affect the electrode and reference system.
Installation and Signal Output
Confirm immersion or inline installation and whether 4–20 mA, relay control or RS485 communication is required.
Configurable pH Sensor Options
Depending on the model, ARTang pH electrodes can be configured to match different process conditions, installation methods and signal requirements.
Insertion Length
Select or customize the electrode insertion length to suit different tanks, pipelines and installation depths.
Temperature Sensor
Available temperature-compensation options include NTC and RTD types such as NTC10K, PT100 and PT1000, depending on the model.
Junction Design
Reference junction configurations can include single, dual or multiple ceramic junctions, as well as PTFE ring junction options for demanding applications.
Cable and Connector
Different connector types and cable configurations are available, with cable length extension supported on applicable models.
Housing Material
Depending on the sensor model, housing options can include glass, PPS, PTFE or 316L stainless steel to suit different installation and chemical conditions.
pH Sensor Manufacturing and Quality Control
ARTang combines configurable pH electrode production with model-specific testing and final inspection to support different industrial applications and order requirements.
pH Electrode Assembly
pH electrodes can be produced with different sensing membranes, reference systems, temperature sensors, insertion lengths and connection options according to the model and application requirements.
Performance Testing
Key pH electrode parameters are checked against the product specification, including slope, zero potential, response time and temperature-related performance.
Transmitter Functional Inspection
pH transmitters are tested for measurement, display and applicable output functions such as 4–20 mA, relay control and Modbus RS485 communication, depending on the model.
Final Inspection and Packing
Finished products undergo final configuration, appearance and order checks before packing and shipment to help maintain consistency across production batches.

FAQ About pH Sensor and Transmitter
Provide the liquid type, pH range, temperature, installation location, flow condition, signal output, and whether the medium is corrosive, contains solids, or has high conductivity.
Yes. ARTang pH sensors are suitable for clean and wastewater, including sewage and industrial effluents. Material selection and mounting type should consider solids, corrosion, and temperature.
Most transmitters provide built-in or external temperature compensation to ensure accurate pH readings in varying process temperatures.
Yes. Sensors with corrosion-resistant electrodes, protective housings, and appropriate sealing can handle acidic, alkaline, and chemical process liquids.
Yes. Hydrostatic level measurement is based on liquid pressure, and pressure is related to liquid density. If the liquid density changes significantly, the level reading may be affected and may require calibration or compensation.
